Count Dooku May Have Been Trying To Recruit Obi-Wan As His Acolyte
InAttack of the Clones , Count Dooku had Obi - Wan Kenobi capture on Geonosis and went , on the face of it , to interrogate him . Interestingly , this would have see him take up the torch for Palpatine , presumptively playing the same role of the secret Sith in the Senate that Palpatine hold out on to play . This was nevertheless a severe plan . It would have take much more than one conversation and a reference to Obi - Wan ’s beloved former master to get him to stag the Jedi and the Republic and operate in secret as Dooku ’s Sith prentice . Even so , it seems quite probable that Count Dooku was hop Obi - Wan would become his Acolyte .
