Summary
Homelander is more fickle than ever inThe Boysseason 4 , andepisode 4 finds him returning to the Vought lab where he was created — and killing everyone except for one person : Barbara . Theending ofThe Boysseason 4 , installment 3sees Homelander deciding to render to his place of origin , as he wants to get rid of his man . He associates his traumatic upbringing with his need for approval and lovemaking , and so , he visits the place responsible for his troublesome childhood .

Killing the other scientist is a step in a darker focusing , but Homelander still has n’t altogether lose his penury for sexual love and extolment . It ’s what drives his character , and it ’s hard to say if he ’ll ever free himself of that motivating .

Barbara’s Punishment Is Watching Her Colleagues All Die
Homelander Doesn’t Forgive Barbara
Although Homelander give up Barbara ’s life inThe Boysseason 4 , instalment 4 , he does n’t completely forgive her transgressions . In fact , her punishment is arguably fell than those of her co-worker . While Barbara does n’t receive physical suffering at the hands of Homelander , the Supe still punishes her . Barbara ’s punishment is watching Vought ’s other scientists die , something that will stick with her forever . Barbara will no doubt feel guilt for being unable to stop it , and she ’ll brook much longer than the scientist who pall inThe Boysseason 4 because of this .
